CoLab to Celebrate Wisconsin Tech Month
Eau Claire, WI – CoLab, Eau Claire’s Coworking Community, is celebrating the statewide Wisconsin Tech Month with four tech-focused workshops. Governor Tony Evers proclaimed October as Wisconsin Tech Month and it is being promoted throughout the state by the Milky Way Tech Hub and Wisconsin Voices.
The founder of Milky Way Tech Hub, Nadiyah Johnson feels it is necessary to celebrate and amplify Wisconsin’s Tech ecosystem. Events and programs throughout the month will focus on topics that range from smart cities solutions to workforce development and much more.
On October 6, Imagineering IT will present Cybersecurity for Your Business and will take you through the basics of today’s cybersecurity threats and how to protect yourself and your business in an increasingly online world.
On October 20, Amy Greenwald, owner of Blue Raspberry Design will present Intro to Green Web Design and discuss ways to reduce your business’s CO2 emissions due to the websites you design which will make them greener, more accessible, and even boost their SEO.
Also on October 20, Osseo native and Founder/CEO of tech startup Altruize, Nicole Sdao will co-present Volunteering and Tech: Because Metrics Matter with Jamf. This workshop will cover the importance of company culture and how volunteering as a part of your company’s culture is important to your employees and your community.
Finally, on October 28, Nadiyah Johnson, founder of Milky Way Tech Hub, will lead Tech for Social Good with Jana Morrin, local tech startup Co-Founder and CEO of Speakfully Software. More details and registration for this event will be announced soon.
