About the Event

Zach Halmstad: How to start a business while at UWEC

Sept. 9, 4:00 p.m., UWEC Davies Center, Ojibwe 330C

Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community are all invited to attend this free event.

Do you want a side gig? Another revenue stream? Do you want to be a company founder? Or maybe you have no startup idea of your own but have organizational skills and a desire to help start and manage something?

Come to hear Zach Halmstad speak about his experiences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Zach started Jamf, now a publicly-traded software company that employs more than 2,000 people, while he was a student at UWEC. He will share how he did this and what his path looked like. You will leave with practical suggestions for taking your first or next step.

Zach wants to see “the next Jamf” get off the ground and you could be one who helps fulfill that vision!

This event is sponsored by WiSys VentureHome-Eau Claire. Refreshments and time to network and ask questions will follow the event. All are welcome!
