Your resume is vital in helping employers better understand what makes you the right fit for their company or organization.

In this workshop you will learn how to create a dynamic resume that stands out against the competition. We will discuss formatting do’s and don’ts, catchy action words, and more!

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Changing careers? Dusting off the old resume? If a new career is in your near future, you will soon have to update your resume.

According to a 2020 survey by human resources and software firm Ceridian, 64% of workers in the United States are either looking for new job opportunities or are open to moving jobs if approached by another company. This jumps to 76% for professionals under the age of 30.

Your resume is a vital tool in helping employers better understand you and what makes you the right fit for their company or organization. Creating a dynamic resume that stands out from the competition is vital to receiving an offer to interview, and hopefully, a position in that company.

In Crafting a Resume That Stands Out, Ashley Ash and Michelle Cedarblade will guide you through:

Telling your story succinctly in a way that intrigues your potential employer.

Demonstrating your strengths and skills with direct statements.

Formatting your resume appropriately for your industry.

Effectively incorporating attention-getting buzzwords.

The past year has put many things into perspective. The pandemic has forced many to reassess their professional lives. 47 million people have filed for unemployment since March 2020. According to the University of California- Irvine, 30% of Americans have changed careers due to COVID-19.

If you are in any of those situations, this workshop is for you!
